Create a https://wa.me/… link that opens WhatsApp to a number, with an optional pre-filled first message. Use it in social bios, ads, QR codes, and email.

Use full international format (e.g. 1 US/CA, 44 UK, 91 India). Ten-digit India mobiles starting 6–9 get 91 added automatically. Spaces and punctuation are ignored.

About the WhatsApp URL format

Links use https://wa.me/<number> and may include ?text= with a URL-encoded message. The number must be in full international form (digits only, no +). Recipients need WhatsApp installed (app or web). Test on mobile and desktop before you ship in a campaign. For https web destinations and GA4, use the UTM builder or Short URL—wa.me is for the WhatsApp app, not for tagging landing-page URLs.

Practical tips

Keep the pre-filled line short: people can still edit the message before sending.
Don’t use this for one-time secrets or passwords—anyone with the link can start a chat with that number.
